I read there that something called 'Wheeleasiers' made manual wheelchairs easier to push, and as I'm all for making life easier, I visited Mike's website, placed my order and received a parcel containing 2 lightweight, soft spongey wheel covers, and a minute or so later my wheelchair was transformed! , I received phone calls from a very helpful, friendly and enthusiastic person who wanted to make sure the Wheeleasiers were 'right for me' and that I'd had no trouble with fitting or with anything else. The beginning was that I thought Wheeleasiers might make wheelchairs easier to push, and they certainly do, I think because they enable a much better grip. But I found bonus 'extras' I hadn't even thought of!
1st. Wheeleasiers keep hands very much warmer! It didn't take me long to discover the second,
2nd. Wheeleasiers prevent the wheelchair (OK, the driver!) scraping paint off door frames! It didn't take me long to discover that Wheeleasiers prevent the wheelchair (OK, the driver!) scraping paint off door frames!
4th. I hardly noticed until I'd had the Wheeleasiers a week or three. I suppose it was after I'd become very used to them that I suddenly realised how much easier it had become to manoeuvre the chair. Some tight corners were no longer so tight! I'm not sure that my fourth would be regarded as a bonus by everyone (my husband says I talk too much already!) but
5th. Wheeleasiers make a very good talking point,
6th. I cannot now pass anyone in a wheelchair using bare metal turning wheels, or someone who has acquired that dirty, extremely unhygienic habit of pushing with their hands on the tyres (which I think sometimes comes about because tyres are so much easier to grip than metal. I suppose the person doesn't let themselves think about what they might be putting on their fingers). I cannot see such folk without showing them my Wheeleasiers and telling them how to get them! And to me - others notice them, comment, ask what they are ... and we're off!
My fifth ... no, I think anyone interested enough to have read this far will be off to find out the rest for themselves!

"...they are working a treat they have had a significant impact on the way she can move around in the chair its far
more easier in manoeuvring about our home. It is also by a long way more comfortable to grip the rims. Many thanks for
your help in chasing up the order Joan was hoping for good things from these and she
certainly hasn't been disappointed she is really pleased with them."

I fitted them very easily. So easily, in fact, I feared they were too big, but that doesn't appear to be the case, as there was no
sign of slippage or them coming off when I went out on Saturday morning. For the first time since I got that chair,
I could push it easily without gloves, so big brownie points to Wheeleasier, there. It took a little getting
used to as I am used to a firm grip and you have to get used to it being softer. However, after I while it started to be much more
comfortable. I was out for a couple of hours travelling on Metro train and bus and pushing myself
around the streets and malls of Newcastle doing a bit of shopping. Overall, I found using Wheeleasier to be excellent,
and, I am very excited for you as I think it can really take off (pun intended)!

The WheelEasier that I ordered from you is wonderful. Not only do they make the pushrims easier to "push" but they also
act as a "bumper" when going through a narrow space (a doorway etc). Thank you.
